At fforest We take away the hassle of preparation, setup and cooking by providing everything you will need to enjoy the best of the outdoor experience. All of our tents are sited individually or in small clusters, offering plenty of privacy and uninterrupted views.
It’s still camping, but only the best bits. The birdsong alarm call, the bluebell walk to the bathroom, freshly brewed coffee in the morning, kids running through the fields with new found friends, a glass of locally brewed beer or cider at sundown, the sound of crickets at dusk, barbecued food and marshmallows over the fire.
We have four types of tented accommodation sleeping between 4 and 6 people, plus our modern crog lofts based on a traditional crofter’s cottage, each sleeping up to 4 in an original converted farm building, offering the fforest experience but with the luxury of a boutique hotel.
At the centre of the camp, fforest lodge serves breakfasts of local produce each morning and communal barbeques or dinner from local produce a couple of evenings each week. The lodge lounge is available in the morning and late afternoon for guests to relax, read a book from our library, or dry off in front of the wood burner. (Sometimes the rain gets you, sometimes you go and get wet..)
Activities are there for the taking—choose from sedate and reflective, taking in the local wildlife and the stunning landscape, or push yourself to the adrenaline limit trying something new.
If you are considering a big celebration or event, we can accommodate over 100 people with exclusive use of camp included.
