fforest weddings
fforest holds a licence to host civil wedding ceremonies and civil partnerships. We will work with you to develop your ideal wedding package to incorporate exclusive access to the camp for a 3 night weekend break for the wedding party and guests (80 to 100 in high season), use of fforest lodge for a small civil ceremony (optional), use of the giant hat tipi for a personalised ceremony and for any ensuing celebrations, a wedding menu to your taste, either for the wedding day alone or for the entire weekend. We also carry an extensive alcohol and entertainment licence to give you the freedom and flexibility to choose how you celebrate your big day.
Venue
The wedding couple book the camp for the entire weekend, giving you exclusive access to all areas. A humanist wedding celebration takes place in the giant hat tipi at the heart of the camp and is designed and tailored by you to reflect your personalities. If you would like to make your commitment legally binding while you are at fforest we hold a licence for civil ceremonies, which take place at fforest lodge.
Residential
Our weddings are residential, with the couple and their families and guests staying on site for up to 3 nights. This means that you have all weekend to catch up with guests you may not have seen for a while, you can organise activities to do together or plan a pre-wedding supper or other group meals.
Facilities
You and your guests have access to all of the usual fforest facilities, such as the lodge lounge and terrace, the bwthyn bar and the cedar barrel sauna.
Entertainment
We aim to accommodate any specific requests that you have and to meet all of your technical requirements. We work with you to select the perfect entertainment for your evening celebrations drawing on our list of tried and tested local musicians and performers. Excellent sound and lighting quality are guaranteed and we can set up a film show for the whole party or to keep the kids entertained.
One of the wonderful things about fforest is its remoteness and proximity to nature. This means that wi-fi isn't guaranteed and mobile phone signals can be erratic. But hopefully, like us, you will realise that the world doesn't stop turning when the signal goes down. If your plans are entirely dependent on internet access or a mobile signal please call us to discuss.
Food & Drink
After your wedding ceremony enjoy a relaxed tea party with a wonderful array of home-made savoury and sweet delights. In the evening we will serve a spectacular hog roast with our own mouth-watering accompaniments. But the catering doesn’t stop there. You will enjoy a relaxed slap-up Welsh brunch with all of the guests staying on site (part of the wedding B&B package).
All of our ingredients are sourced as close to home as possible, with many being grown or reared at fforest.
The bwthyn serves Welsh beers, ciders and spirits as well as organic soft drinks and a selection of reasonably priced but delicious wines.
