about fforest camp
Every part of fforest has been developed with your convenience in mind because we realise that for most people, camping isn't that much fun when it’s raining and you’ve forgotten the can opener. So all the basics are covered; all your cooking and dining equipment, breakfast and tents with a view all as standard. All you need to bring is some towels, duvets or sleeping bags and pillows (apart from the domes and crogs, where bedding is provided).
Each tent is mounted on a wooden deck, so no damp/ineffective groundsheet to ruin your sleep. Outside, an adjoining deck stages your kitchen, dining and living area. Oversized lounging sacks are provided for you to gaze at the stars and oak trunk furniture to dine at, and a covered kitchen area with cool box, water butt, gas stove and loads of storage.
On site you will also find the cedar barrel sauna tucked into the woods. This is the perfect après-sea treatment, after a session of coasteering or kayaking.
Guests enjoy breakfast as standard with all accommodation at fforest, taken at the lodge. The lodge is also open for a few hours each day for guests’ use. The Bwthyn bar is open most evenings serving a selection of local beverages. In the threepi and bell field is our shower block with individual cedar-walled mains pressure wetrooms. Close to the lodge you will find the communal firepit for marshmallow toasting and reflection.
