accommodation

At fforest, accommodation is provided in our range of tents or, new for 2009, our croglofts.

Accommodation types

The 4 adjoining croglofts, based on old crofters' cottages, are situated in a converted farm building and each sleeps up to 4 people. Our tents are made of high quality materials, finished in natural colours in harmony with the existing landscape. We have three types of tent, able to accommodate up to 4 adults or 2 adults and 4 children. Tents are arranged in clusters, allowing privacy for groups of families or friends holidaying together.

WC, showers, sauna

The main shower and wc building, constructed from recycled and green timber, is sited in a woodland area above the lodge.
Tucked away in the woods we have a six person cedar barrel sauna and cold shower (compulsory after sauna use... see camp rule no 372(c)).

Communal areas

The lodge lounge is available to guests for a few hours in the morning and late afternoon. Our licensed bar, sited in an old crofter's cottage complete with inglenook fireplace (the original crogloft), serves beer, wine, cider and soft drinks. Evenings can be spent by the large covered
firepit with plenty of seating for barbecuing sausages, toasting marshmallows and sharing ghost stories.
There is a tiered covered area suitable for parties, receptions, large dinners, seminars and film shows available for hire. Contact us for more information.
