Matthew Ruigrok, 2009

My wife and I got married on 17th October 2009, two days later we arrived at fforest for the first part of our honeymoon and it couldn't have been a better way to start our lives as a married couple. We stayed in a dome for four nights and without electricity and WiFi, but with the perfect amount of little luxuries we had an amazing time. We have many many great memories from our short stay and we often say we will return. Eight years later and now with three young boys we are just waiting for the right time to return and we cannot wait.

Gina, Paul, Joe, Finn & Oliver, 2011

Our first visit to fforest was in 2010 and we came back every Whitsun halfterm until 2014, with one summer visit along the way. The memories fuse together: friendships, breakfasts, Mwnt beach, coasteering, canoeing every year, sea kayaking, rock climbing, tree climbing, Arrow the dog, the pub (what is that local gin we discovered?), toasted marshmallows, laughter (lots of it), unwinding, cricket, football, foraging, freedom, kids in packs, friendships renewed year on year (and persisting still), the granola, the enamel cups and bowls, wild flowers at breakfast, standing at the toaster meeting someone new, bbq nights, rain (there was lots of rain), upgrading to a dome (we were loyal to the bell tents before that), birthdays: Finn turned 9,10,11,12 and13 at fforest and we celebrated Steph's birthday and Alison and Chris's wedding anniversary. We watched the clouds and let life meander a little, unplugged from screens, and paused for a bit. My children's childhoods start in stories from fforest, where they grew up and were free. Thank you Sian and James, from Gina Paul Joe Finn and Oli.

Hayley Griffiths, 2017

This place is simply magical, I came to attend my cousin's wedding and found myself stepping into a wonderland. It really had a profound affect on me, I'm from south wales and a mother of three and a big part of our family life is spent outdoors on adventures. Staying here reminded me of that slow living lifestyle, I came home and immediately wanted to change the style of my house to emulate the beautiful house there. Bringing the outside in, using natural materials, plants and flowers everywhere. I'm planning on bringing my family back to enjoy this complete wonderland. You guys have created something truly wonderful, thank you.

Joanne, Jörg & Linda, 2016

Jörg loved the story teller and the general idea of living closer to nature. Linda loved the swing in the tree, the activities and the Crogloft. Joanne loved the natural dyeing, the fireplace, the nature, the water, the foraging, absolutely everything. Most of all we loved you Sian and fforest Chief, Bru and Arrow and all the elves, and Victoria and Albert and all the wonderful people we met.
