‘I have seen the sun break through
to illuminate a small field
for a while, and gone my way
and forgotten it. But that was the
pearl of great price, the one field that had
treasure in it.’

FFOREST NATURE WRITING RETREAT
Wed 20th - Sat 24th March

Hosted by author and friend of fforest Richard King

Only twenty places available

The fforest Nature Writing Retreat is an immersive writing course led by professional authors and poets that explores and reveals the essence of nature writing.

This course is aimed at writers of any ability or experience.

Produced and hosted in collaboration between fforest and Richard King, the course is centred within the heart of the two hundred acres of Fforest Farm and the adjoining five hundred acres of nature reserve. Space to contemplate, learn, dream and write.

Course details

The Nature Writing Retreat consists of four full days of workshops, one-on-one tutorials, lectures and informal literary discussion. These are conducted in harmony with guided walks, wild swims and explorations of the unique landscape of West Wales.

By day the atmosphere and history of fforest provides a contemplative and peaceful setting for study, learning and sharing of ideas.

On site there is also a perfect set of locations for the more informal evening sessions and workshops: the campfire pit for poetry readings, the two-hundred year old Bwthyn Pub for sharing notes on favourite authors and the Lodge for letterpress demonstrations.

Location

Set in 200 acres of north Pembrokeshire countryside, fforest has been created as a place to enjoy the simplicity, pleasures and beauty of outdoor living.
This is a place to climb a tree and learn to live without the internet. This is a place to wonder: about the weather, the night, the tides, the stars and silence.
