Winter Glow 2019 at fforest farm

Inspired by the Swedish concept of women getting together to chat, support and inspire each other.

-

November, when the leaves, seeds and berries have fallen from the trees and the cooler winter weather has set in. The days are shorter and the nights are longer, making this is the perfect time to embrace the slow dark season and give time for nourishment to mind, soul and body.

Here at fforest we have set aside a long weekend for women to come together in the surroundings nature and slow down to restore energy, rekindle a passion for fireside creativity and be ready for the festive season ahead.

Every gathering we like to create space for walks and wellbeing, creativity and nourishment.

Over this winter retreat we will go forest bathing, a silent woodland walk and meditation guided by the wonderful Gemma David, helping us gently connect with ourselves and to the natural rhythm of life. There will be nature inspired workshops, foraging for winter greenery to make a winter wreath, winter scented candles and pinecone firelighters. With natural threads and yarns, talented weaver Suzanne Gattrell Hodshon will teach us how to weave. And the weekend is not complete without some chopping and chatting in the farmhouse kitchen.

The line up of activities is still evolving so we look forward to sharing more with you later.

Come alone or with a friend to enjoy the company and comfort of being a part of this small and intimate gathering. A maximum of 20 people in the peaceful surroundings of fforest.

There are comfortable spaces for creativity or to simply relax into a comfy chair, listen to the birds and read a book. There is no fixed schedule or end product. The goal is to inspire and help each other and maybe learn something new.

Accommodation is in comfortable rooms in either Ty Fforest, our crog lofts, or new Garden Rooms.
