Winter Glow 2018

Inspired by the Swedish concept of women getting together to chat, support and inspire each other.

-

November, with the leaves and fruits having all fallen from the trees and the cooler weather has set in calling the arrival of winter. Combined with the shorter days and longer nights is the perfect time for nourishment of mind, soul and body. A time to reconnect with your crafting and rekindle your passion for fireside creativity. A time for women to get together, to learn and share new skills.

This is a weekend of unwinding, slowing down the pace and giving time to yourself.

Come alone or with a friend to enjoy the company and comfort of being a part of this small and intimate gathering. A maximum of 20 people in the peaceful surroundings of fforest with tasty and nourishing food.

Over the weekend we will enjoy the mornings exploring and making. In the afternoons we can continue to share, make and create. If you have a talent, be it story telling, creative writing, willow weaving, crochet, kimchi making, aromatherapy, cake baking, puppet making, photography, tree climbing or knitting, it would be great if you would like to take a moment over the weekend to share your knowledge. We have plenty of comfortable spaces for creativity and will encourage everyone to bring their own creative project and share some crafting skills over the weekend.

We are every delighted to announce that Amanda Banham the brilliant potter and story teller is coming back to Glow again and she will help us build our own ceramic house or pinch pot one afternoon. We are also super excited that Debbie George a wonderful painter inspired by flowers, ceramics and pattern will join us and guide us through painting a still life.

If you fancy some time to your self please use our spaces to simply relax into a comfy chair, listen to the birds and read a book or get to get on with your own personal project. There is no fixed schedule or end product. The goal is to inspire, support and help each other and maybe learn something new.

Accommodation is in comfortable shared rooms in either Ty Fforest or our crog lofts or in a private double with en-suite in Ty Fforest.
